The OP seems to feel out of place in the SOs' life. So instead of sitting down with that person to have a heart to heart and decide whether they are life partners, the OP brings the issues into a public forum. I didn't see any of it as bragging like some here implied, instead I saw it as a cry for help by a person that can't sit down with an SO and talk about values and life perspectives.
I am not one that feels that Doctors are overpaid and I have made that clear before.
