In reply to the discussion: My mom died last night. [View all]UniteFightBack
(8,231 posts)74. I'm so glad you had her for such a long time. I know that doesn't help with the pain right
now but I lost my Mom when I was 24 and it's been really hard to live life without her and my Dad and I know you are feeling like that too. You can be 24 or 64 and still feel like an orphan.
For you and your Mom
" Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die."
