2. Saw this movie yesterday on TCM Things to come from 1936

The dictator type guy controlled the people by continuous war and made a comment that it’s better to control people by war and fear. They then went into the future 2026 the same actor but different character said science is bad and that you can’t trust science and turned the people against the the peace loving scientists who were trying for a better world for its citizens. He used fear to control an uprising. I thought it reminded me of Fox and the right wing media propaganda that has made at least 35% of our population into chickens supporting colonel sanders.

The was originally a story written by HG wells but I couldn’t help think it was prophetic to what is going on currently.
