I still remember being surprised when ABC called the election for President Obama 1 minute after the polls closed on the west coast. Looking back on it, I don't know why it shocked me, but it did. I didn't have cable or satellite at the time, only a local ABC outlet with fuzzy reception. I remember sitting there with tears streaming down my face, the relief was stronger than almost anything I ever felt. I could not believe we had finally seen the last of Bush. It chokes me up a little just thinking about it.
