43. I think you may have hit on the point...

When you want to destroy a country or subvert its system, conditioning the public is all about perception, not conventions. In fact, anything you can do to dilute or break with them can be useful in the long run if you have an ulterior motive for it.

They may very well find it useful if our youth lose faith in the rule of law and checks and balances of our three branches of government. If I were trying to do what I sense they are, I would act in concert to kick out the foundations, (like Trump is doing) with collective actions that both confuse and discourage the populace while simultaneously subverting the conventions.

There is a bit of a facade about who these people are and what they are actually doing. I think the cover of darkness is that it is very easy to make certain assumptions that don't lead to the conclusions I have suggested. Those kinds of assumptions would be based on factors like a strict allegiance to our Constitutional Government and an unfailing abidance in the oath of office that they have taking.

This debacle is not another round of bipartisan business as usual, so it is a good idea to divest ourselves of that diversion as a perspective. When you see GOP party members put their allegiance to their own party first and foremost, you have a grave and serious problem before you. You are already on the road to perdition as far as Democracy is concerned. The pivotal word is allegiance and We, The People, should demand that any public servant, (whom we employ to perform the common good for the common will) stand by, abide by and have no other primary allegiance than our hallowed Constitution and all it provides an stands for. Everything else must remain secondary or they have no business holding office.
