She has consistently stated that people who are successful should have the fruits of their success but they should understand that they used public roads, fire dept, police, and all kinds of other benefits that we have paid for collectively.

That is the point. Republicans like to pretend that people who are poor are so because they are lazy when the reality is that most of the poor are working and working hard, but don't earn enough to cover their expenses.

We are also sold this idea of opulence and consumerism that drives us into debt. Economics is complicated but there are definitely people who want to promote an agenda that keeps them paid and in power.
