Because it's part of the end game. Remake the country the way they want it. Stave off the majority that would make them extinct by taking away our voice. Their efforts to create the firewall against the inevitable demographic changes that would relegate them to minority status have been in the works for a couple of decades. Trump has been a the best thing that could happen in that effort because he has accelerated the pace on a national level.
