But I would add that I bet Bolton has a grudge against Trump. And he has Trump afraid of him now. An ego as gigantic as Bolton’s probably can’t and won’t pass up the opportunity to kick Trump’s ass. Especially after months of being pushed aside, ignored and sidelined.

Bolton is smart enough to act cool about getting even. Cool and hard as a rock. And he may have more than just Trump in his sights. He may despise Pompeo too, and who knows who else.

I will be very surprised if Bolton can or will let this opportunity pass.

Time will tell.
