10. Do they think defying this will actually win them more votes?

They won because Dems voted for them (as well as Indies & some never-trumper GOPers). They're not only voting against their party, their voting against congressional oversight and rule-of-law. Do they think they'll get many Dem votes next cycle if they do this? Or do they think Trumpers would vote for them?

IMO, politically stupid.
