trial. manafort was probably guilty of a ton of crimes.

However, the first trial of manafort was limited to a few black and white offenses, simple to understand. The prosecution won despite a hostile 'con judge, and a fighting trumpster who got on the jury.

Having established a big win, manafort caved before a 2nd trial.
