80. I'd forgotten about Thomas' conflict.

These people disgrace the Constitution, not to mention the legal profession.

We cannot — cannot— rely on the media! We need to run our business like we’re the only ones who will save us... because we are. There are numerous deep-seated problems with our election system and infrastructure and WE are the only ones who can change things. We have been asleep at the wheel while state after state government has been taken over and districts gerrymandered, rethug Secretaries of State taking control of election policies and procedures in ways that have *let them win presidential elections*

We are the ones responsible for fixing the system and for educating the public about it in ways that grab their attention. We have not yet learned that truth does not win, that neither rethugs nor the public are rational and we have to communicate FAR more effectively/powerfully and outstrategize them if we have any hope.

This is not moot court. It is a democracy that is starting to crumble because WE have been too trusting and not fighting hard and smart enough. TBH, this is why I’m afraid of Biden winning. Of course if he’s the nominee I’ll work hard to GOTV, but he is talking as if we’re dealing with a congress that is not grossly corrupt.

All it takes for evil to triumph is for good people to sit back and not fight with everything they’ve (we’ve) got.
