Actually the trial itself helped accomplish and more what Trump set out to do. In fact all he wanted from Zalensky was for him to announce an investigation.

At the trial his lawyers went into great detail about the Bidens. Really dirtied up Hunter & Joe.

I'm sure Trump is pleased about that.
