These folks live for vengeance their over-active amygdalas have been stimulated even more than usual. The fence-sitters have been shaken off, and I don't think that is a Good Thing for November. The need for internal consistency (IOW the need to vote again the way they did before instead of acknowledging that they made a mistake in 2016) will easily override any facts dug up and proven precisely because of the binary nature of 'guilty/innocent (*NOT* "Not guilty" as lawyers try, futilely to explain it) that nearly every person who is not a lawyer applies to any trial
And expect every Democratic president to be impeached any time the Republicans have a majority in the house from now on.
Morally justified? Sure. Important in the larger historical context? Perhaps. Strategically damaging to the Republican party long-term? Possibly.
