(35,037 posts)friends list, and I'm horrified by a lot of what they say. I hide their feeds for the most part, but on a birthday or something when I end up on their page, I see how they and their friends use all sorts of slurs and sexist/bigoted terms (their friends are diverse and it's interesting to see how both black and white kids openly call each other the "n" word, playfully, of course)
Not sure what's to blame, but my first guess would be a poor educational curriculum that doesn't challenge them or hold them accountable, little or no responsibilities, spoiled at home, plenty of time to post ignorant things on social media.
Reporting Alyssa doesn't bring me much comfort because I know that she's incapable of "getting it." She's incapable of understanding what she did wrong. It troubles me that someone that young could have such a cruel, uncaring attitude and so little common sense.
