thread about this. I've been offline and away from news for a while, so I just heard and read about it.

I've known friends and close relatives who died from cancer. It is terrible. But I think of his vicious cruelty to other people with illnesses and the suffering he brought to so many others for other reasons, and I have to force myself not to rejoice at the news, which would only make me as bad as him.

I would not criticize anyone did express schaudenfreud at this news, though.
