the first time i didn't connect back to garage as it could have been anywhere anytime anybody ... so replaced it , and when back at garage months later for other work, boom .. noticed it gone on pick up of car
noticed sign of fish on the company sign on the shop, so i never went back again
years later my daughter's subaru overheated and she pulled into that shop to see why... was given an estimate for $2500. + for head gaskets, timing belt, water pump and she called me freaked... when i found out where she was, told her to drive away slowly to a station and i'd meet her there..
popped the hood and was looking and SHE said, dad could this be it?
on TOP of the radiator was a small bubbling leak .. cooled down, topped up, drove it home and replaced radiator for $70 ... i'd already replaced timing belt a few months before... that 93 subaru is still going as i'm driving it now
replaced timing belt and water pump a few yrs ago... 215k miles
still going strong
