The vulture capitalism is his albatross but it's also a major tenet of his faith. To mormons, wealth is holiness. The wealthier you are the higher up in the church you get in their secret society. I live among them although in a less concentrated population now. I lived in Idaho for over a decade and I got a serious education about them there.

Several universities/colleges in the region have a building with Romney's name on it.

I wouldn't vote for him for anything because he's usually pretty self serving but today... I would have to say that it was his finest hour.
