In reply to the discussion: Romney (now w-VIDEO) to WHY He Didn't Mention The Troops Should Make ALL Americans Vote AGAINST Him [View all]Tom Rinaldo
(23,187 posts)36. He WANTS a strong military? What about mentioning the men and women are fighting for America TODAY!
Presumably he thinks our military isn't strong now. Is he claiming our soldiers aren't fighting hard enough, that they aren't tough enough? If he means they are fighting today without the right equipment, that only makes those men and women more heroic.
Mitt, America is at war and you want to be Commander in Chief. You didn't criticize how the war is being fought, you IGNORED it, and you ignored the men and women who are in harms way now when you did so. Next time try the laundry list approach, it would be less insulting to real people fighting a real war NOW. You can argue over what military hardware you want this nation to purchase LATER, in the unlikely event you manage to get elected.

Why would he care about the U.S. Army when his money is going to support the SWISS Army?

LDS has no objections to its members serving. Romney had a missionary deferment.
