23. I believe he hates this country.

many reasons for his hate:
—father who sent him away to military school, most likely because he was a nasty, disruptive child
—early business losses requiring bailout by father but most likely blamed on others for treating him unfairly
—lack of acceptance by New York's social elite who considered him a boor and self-promoter
—multiple bankruptcies resulting in no US banks or investors lending to him, none of which of course was his fault in his mind
—refusal of millions of citizens to bow down and worship him after the election

Trump turned to Russia for financing and support for his lavish lifestyle after his numerous bankruptcies. Putin obviously has kompromat on him, but I think in Trump’s warped mind the US let him down and is the enemy while Russia is the loyal friend. Trump spouts America First and uses theatrics like hugging the flag to convince supporters, but it’s all for show, as is everything he does. His actions of destroying environmental protections and exacerbating climate change, violations of presidential norms and actual laws, opening sacred Native American lands for oil drilling, support for white supremacists, fake posturing for the religious fanatics—all say he hates this country and wants to destroy it. The saddest thing is that Republicans are willingly helping him do it.
