Look, I get it, it is now mostly a cesspool of right wing fuck wittery.
But, the point stands that there is no other broadly used platform that provides the connectivity to family, friends and community that Facebook does. At the bare minimum, most small businesses and local communities use Facebook to connect to their audience and community.
Me personally:
* Though it has been greatly diminished by purges both by me and those I know, it still is my primary connectivity to a lot of the people I know.
* It the primary social media (by far) platform for the non-profit I manage.
* It is the primary social media platform for:
Our neighborhood.
Our Township.
The Town we are adjacent to.
Dozens of other interests and groups that I am involved with or follow.
* It also is my "login" for about a dozen apps or services that I use.
I would GLADLY leave Facebook you can give the platform that does even 75% of this ...
