Most empires in history have been destroyed, not by foreign enemies, but from within. That's what is happening to us at this very moment.

There have always been those who want absolute power and don't give a rat's ass about democracy, constitutions, individual freedoms, or anything else that most of us believe in. They consider those things to be an annoying road block of shit standing in their way.

They've tried before to take over this country and have failed every time. (In the 20th Century alone, check out the FDR years of the '30s and the McCarthy insanity of the '50s.) But this time around it's different. Somehow, someway, our would-be, home-grown fascists ended up with a moron in the White House who can be manipulated, controlled and help them reach, what they consider to be, their "rightful" ownership of America. One big plantation that they control. And the rest of us are the "cotton pickers."

Actually, they got lucky in 2016. A vulgar, ignoramus ended up in the White House, with the help of widespread Republican voter suppression, Russian assistance, and millions of uneducated or unaware American voters. These would-be plantation owners never expected to get lucky enough to have a cruel, ignorant, malicious idiot holding the reigns of power, but shit happens.

What's their goal? Destroy the social safety net, (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, food stamps, child care programs, and so much more), and turn the peasants into hungry people who live in huts and do whatever they're told to do.

Right now, they're holding the upper hand when it comes to the 2020 election. The only way to defeat them is with the most massive Democratic turnout in history. If that doesn't happen, they will still hold the reins of power and they will never again give us a chance to get close to ripping those reins from their bloody claws.

If we don't beat them this time around, slavery will have returned to America, but it won't be called slavery. They will claim that they've made America great again and invent some new soothing sounding title for our country. And this time around, the slave population will be about 99% of the population. Look at any dictatorship int the world that exists or has existed. A privileged 1% ran everything while everyone else searched through the garbage looking for food.

Some here may think this rant is over the top. Others will understand the deadly danger we are currently facing. If our enemies, (Trump, the GOP), yes, our enemies, steal the upcoming election, we need a Plan B. And whatever that Plan B is, it can't be trying to "get along" with them. It will mean fighting them in every way possible if we want to retain our freedoms and what we can salvage of our democracy.
