What they care about is if Roger Stone spills the beans with nothing to lose as they send him up the river for 9 years.

Trump could pardon Stone BUT they're probably nervous of what happened to Gerald Ford when he pardoned Nixon.

I guess they figured screwing up the DoJ will makes less waves for the election
