if the Christians that were true Christians were running for office, I don't think this would be such an issue and Christianity itself wouldn't be so polarizing if it weren't for these specific Christian nut bags.

I don't think all Christians are out to create a theocracy but I think Santorum (or Bachmann if she were still in the race, maybe even Romney) would prefer to do away with the Constitution and replace it with the bible. That reflects badly on all Christians and the Christian religion. Sorta like radical Muslims give all Muslims a bad name. Yet, if I railed on about radical Muslims, I doubt anyone would post that not all Muslims are that way, because we're smart enough to know that we're not referring to every one in the community.
