58. as a person with emotional disorders...

on a good day, here's my coping tricks
1. Go outside, and see what there is to see. The sun, the woods, the beach, whatever is in your backyard. Breathe. Walk. Think of the present, and what you are grateful for.
2. Go outside, at night, and see what there is to see. Telescope is good, but the naked eye works just as well. Imagine what you could be seeing. Pick out a star and make it your own. Mine is Capella. She an I are simpatico.
3. Think about how many people have populated the earth before you came along. Imagine...they all had a story, they all had a life.
4. Do not watch any cable news programming.
5. Stay away from all things political, a day at a time. It's amazing how I can fill time with productive activities.
