10. that's a perfect illustration of the difference and it's not looking good for us

for all his myriad flaws, Trump understands something about the power he has.

when Biden mixes up words, it's a gaffe, a mistake, an "unforced error", etc. he tries to compensate, correct his language, align to the normal and expected of society.

when Trump grossly fucks up in a speech or tweet, he gets right to work on normalizing his behavior. was he rude? then that rudeness will be made acceptable. was he wrong? then change the facts until he's right. did he say or do something too ridiculous to sweep under the rug? turn it into a humorous meme so people will laugh it off as "Trump being Trump" or whatever.

Trump is a man of immense privilege who instinctively understands that he has the power to alter society. rapidly. he doesn't know shit about policy or government, but he could probably go on for hours about bending reality to his will, and he could do so honestly were he so inclined.
