In reply to the discussion: An encounter with a Trump supporter [View all]PJMcK

The only time in my life that I voted for a Republican presidential nominee was Reagan's re-election. I was married to my first wife who was a Wall Street bond trader. Our lives improved dramatically during his first term and one of his campaign slogans was, "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?" In my naive youth of my early-to-mid twenties, I bought into that false narrative. Our financial successes of that time had nothing to do with the horrible policies of that jackass president.
I learned my lesson.
