All Garth Brooks did here was wear the jersey of the greatest Detroit Lions player of all time, while playing a concert at the home field of the Detroit Lions. The obvious explanation was that he was wearing the jersey to show enthusiasm for Barry Sanders, the Detroit Lions, and all his Detroit fans.

And yet.

It is a hilarious coincidence that Barry Sanders wore the number 20 on his jersey, while Bernie Sanders is running for president in 2020. I'm not saying Garth Brooks was trolling people, but if he were this would be a genius way to do it.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing Barry Sanders jerseys at Bernie events. Just sayin'.

(Obligatory disclaimer: I do not have a preferred candidate in the Democratic primary.)
