The Ro (infection transmission factor) is 1-1.5 for influenza....

The Ro for COVID-19 is 2-3

Twice as high of a transmission rate - in addition to the incubation period is 1-2 days for influenza - for COVID-19 is 7-14 days.

The survival of influenza on hard surfaces - 24 hours
The suspected survival of COVID-19 on hard surfaces - 1 week - 28 days (shorter in warmer conditions - longer in colder)
