(13,446 posts)I am in a government office and I deal with the public every day. We live in a community with a fairly significant number of international people and international travelers, and I have wondered sometimes about the impact of that on local risks. When Ebola was in the news I remember wondering about that especially. I keep sanitizer on my desk and sanitize stuff the public touches with Clorox wipes regularly. I do this fairly regularly all year long, but it becomes more of a thing during "flu" season. With the current pandemic discussions, it has become a bit more of a priority for our office.
At home, I've discussed laying in a few supplies in case of some kind of enforced quarantine. But, even that is just not a priority, IMO. If there are more cases that turn up in this state, I might decide to stock up, but not I'm not there yet. Last week, I had to take my 90 year old mom to the ER, and I did feel kinda creeped out with that. I had a very healthy kind of paranoia going.
