You simply have to create an opposition that you can control and vilify and who better than marginalized, vulnerable groups who have no power or representation? You just cast them as "not good with God" or not really human, etc.

The thing is, that can then easily be ramped up and there is a list that ascends through other groups and then jabs the heart of a nation with a dictatorial javelin and includes religious, racial and even intellectual/academic groups as it reaches its peak.

Pooty represents a group of oligarchs and, it seems, and actually the richest man in the World. Despotism pays more than any other job and the power and control offer endless perks. Why wouldn't Trump want to emulate or even surpass him? He has an entire country in his grubby, little, tiny mitts right now.
