Unfortunately what used to be the lunatic fringe of the Republican Party now dominates the Republican Party. Those who for some reason still feel attached to the Grand Old Party - but are not indoctrinated with their endless cuckoo talk - there is some opportunity to do some missionary work. There is a smaller and smaller percentage of Republicans who are not full of nutty cliches. But those who still maintain some elements of reason and sense - they might be persuadable to admit that today's Republican Party is not grandpa's Republican Party.
