Can Someone Please Explain This to Me? [View all]
From what I've come to understand (correct me if I'm wrong), the WHO had offered the US COVID-19 test kits some time ago and the US declined.
Is this accurate?
I've also read that South Korea (which seems to be doing a phenomenal job with a low death rate the last I heard) also offered the US test kits and again, the US denied them.
WHY?
I've also heard that other countries (and a few of our States) are conducting drive through testing?
Why isn't every State doing this?
COVID-19 is going to burn through the US, make no mistake about it but why aren't we taking EXTREME steps now as to SLOW DOWN the spread, as to not overwhelm our hospitals?
If we could at the very least SLOW DOWN the spread with test kits/quarantines or drive through testing, we could save some lives out there, as our hospitals wouldn't all be overwhelmed at once with far more death than needs to be.
Anyone?
