The first bad assumption is that there's 100% of the blame to go around. Therefore, if you blame the woman who was raped even 2% then makes the rapist only 98% guilty.

The second is putting all crimes that bear a label in the same category. I can assign a label to all sorts of things. "Shot" is an adj. and a noun; it's a small piece of metal used for shooting birds, a large piece of metal chucked by a fat sweaty guy, it's a certain amount of hard liquor, and it's an eventive noun derived from "to shoot". ("That's a fine shot, you really caught the color in his eyes in that picture!&quot
