2. Yes. It is damned insane the messaging that suggests the young have no worries.

That it sends the message that older adults are "expendable" is only the least of the destruction from this messaging. It also sends the message to younger people that they have nothing to worry about and thus need not take precautions-while countless millions of young Americans have high-risk preexisting conditions or are disabled.

There is scarcely anything about COVID-19 that the US has gotten right--the messaging is but the tip of the iceberg, but possibly just as deadly.
