I will still try and maintain a conversation. Nobody is perfect, but we can still discuss issues. I say that as we sat in the kitchen at Hope Lodge in NYC a few years ago. Three bone/stem cell transplant patients, we learned we had a person of Jewish, Christian and Muslim faith. It did not matter, it was secondary to survival, but an eye opening dinner in the communal kitchen. We're all just looking to survive and lead our lives as best as we can. Still keep in touch with a few patients from transplant 1 and 2, might not always agree, but we have a bond.
