Day 2 of Covid in the hospital [View all]

The one take away today for me, is HOOLLLY SHIT there are not enough tests. Plenty of 72hour tests but rapid is severely limited. We can’t quarantine everyone who may be infected so the highest priority is given to those who may have highest complications. I’m afraid to say as a whole we are behind this virus by a lot because we are learning while it rapidly spreads.

The system is handcuffed due to lack of available test kits. I’m afraid we are missing many diagnoses due to the incompetence of our government. Patients still doing well. There is no other person to blame but Trump and his admin. He alone fucked all of this up! As providers we can’t swab everyone because we don’t have the kits. Which means the spread will continue. IMHO
