is a fight between people in flyover country and those they consider "coastal elites" who can be painted as a threat, much the way that immigrants from Latin America have been demonized.

Trump knows that he'll never win the electoral votes of NY, NJ or CT, he's trying to make folks in Midwestern swing states fearful.
