(9,063 posts)Trump was on the best behavior he can muster today and is back in line with Fauci's scientific guidance. His scripted statements passed CNN's fact check, and he even praised the healthcare workers on the front lines which he hasn't been great about. He was well-prepared with a lot of concrete numbers as well.
As far as this crisis goes, we all want him to succeed and he's struggling. I'd like to hear questions and answers that focus on how we move forward, especially when he's more or less in the zone where we need him to be.
Obviously he couldn't have been more wrong about the 15 cases disappearing to zero early in this crisis. That statement and all the other issues he was on the wrong side of will stick with him and haunt him in November. Now is not the time to dredge it up, it simply isn't the most pressing news of the day.
