...deaths per known cases. With the stupid delay in reacting, we don't really know yet how many people are actually carrying the virus.
Even if it's 2x, rather than more, the mortality rate drops in half.
It's too soon, I suppose, to draw firm conclusions. Unfortunately, people are dying now. The better numbers later don't matter to those folks & their families.
