(25,415 posts)9. My Dad is 65 and the same way. I just see him as delusional.
He is fairly nice in all other aspects but his political views are head scratching. My mother is a little less worse as a moderate Repub. Sometimes, it is too late to change people's minds, even your own parents. My Dad won't change his mind and neither will I so we "keep the peace." We have arguments but it is more like political debates then any outright anger or hatred.
