I signed up in NY a couple weeks ago - it was not fun as they certainly weren't prepared for the influx - but stick it out if you have issues.

I'm in same situation as you; furloughed, no federal stimulus check, BUT...with the supposed $600 extra federal UI assistance, you should do OK until - hopefully - you get rehired.
