18. I did some serious re-budgeting this time

No contributions to any of the presidential candidates (that just changed yesterday), as most of them were Senators who hounded Al Franken publicly into resigning, and NONE of them get a cent from me. I just couldn't make up my mind among the rest, but when Amy Klobuchar and Mayor Pete dropped out, the choice got clearer.

I was a former contributor to some Senators who pushed Al into his resignation, but not this time. So, I had more of the budget to spread around. Long shots like McGrath in Kentucky, Jaime Harrison in South Carolina, and Wendy Davis for the House in Texas benefited, as well as a couple of personal friends running for Congress (Mark Kelly for Senate in AZ and Valerie Plame for the House in NM). The usual Planned Parenthood, Doctors Without Borders, NARAL, NRDC, etc. all got some as well. I'm usually sucking wind financially by the end of any election year! But it's all fine. Besides, one of my daughters now makes three times as much as I do. I can always hit her up if I'm desperate!
