(73,752 posts)i have to reinvent my sales process. my annual sale is a fun event, full of talk and contact. now, i put out plants, email w folks, and take zelle now. maybe wave through the window.
the market farmers here are scrambling to figure this all out. they will likely be going to csa type boxes, and drive thru pick up. but they are a huge thing here in chi.
but i worry about my big brothers and sisters. they were already in the shit, esp ill and wis. at least we are having a mild spring. could use a bit more rain, but compared to last year, it's a relief. lake michigan really needs to go down. last year it was in my back yard!
i know the seed companies are going bonkers. i only got a last minute order in w johnnie's as i am a past customer. the wannnabes are comin out of the woodwork, ja love 'em. but their usual 2 day delivery is a thing of the past for now.
i wonder how many other disruptions will crop up in our way.
at least we should have cheap gas.
