(57,936 posts)The Middle East is very volatile. The pastor who was involved in this film would be enraged if someone made a similar film about his religion. It is irresponsible.
Still, it does not justify murder.
But the problem is to interpret these events and to prevent a recurrence.
Then there is the question of how far Netanyahu will go to score points with his electorate and supporters and whether he is in any way involved in the film, etc.
The timing of his visit raises questions -- inevitably.
And, just so you know, people who watch my posts on DU know that I am outspoken in my general support for Israel.
I just hope that Netanyahu has not jeopardized his country's future by being involved in this. If I were Israeli, I would not trust Netanyahu. And I don't trust him on this.
