Drs. Fauci and Birx couldn't qualify to hold Captain Crozier's Jockstrap [View all]

I'm sick of giving these asshats a pass, especially when we have a perfect example of a leader putting his career on the line when people's lives are in danger.

I spent almost 30 years in the Navy, so please let me tell you just a tiny fraction of what it takes to be a Commanding Officer of one of our Nuclear powered aircraft carriers. See, Captain Crozier didn't just wake up one day and discover he was the CO of a $6B floating city. It took years and years of sacrifice, hard work, mental anguish and crushing emotional and physical discipline over more than 20 years.

First, he started as a junior aviator..a demanding and cutthroat designator. Over multiple demanding Sea Tours, he rose to the top .001% of a community of the top 1%.

Then, as his reward for 20+ years of work, he was selected for major command. As part of the Carrier CO Track, he would first be assigned as CO of a Large Deck AOE (a massive replenishment Ship that spends 70-80% of it's life underway at sea. If successful at this tour you may get your shot at commanding a Carrier.

First though, you have to attend and complete Navy Nuclear Power School. I've seen math PHDs washout with tears in their eyes from this demanding course.

Then, you get to go and be the Executive Officer, second in command of a carrier. If there's a more demanding job than Carrier CO, it's Carrier XO.

So, when Captain Crozier put his career on the chopping block for his crew, the above is just a small part of what he was sacrificing.

I suppose he could have said; "well, I should fall in line, because at least if I'm here, I can 'run interference' and try to get leadership to do the right thing". He could have said; "at least I'll still be here as a 'mitigating' voice of reason".

He could have done that, but That's not what you do when thousands of lives are at stake

Drs Fauci and Birx should get no pass for being sychophants to this asshat.

So, please, stop with the "oh, they have a tough job and need to be there as a mitigating voice of reason".

We have an example of unimaginable sacrifice to speak truth to power, and it sure isn't either of these good Drs kissing Donnie Dollhands orange ass.
