Stalin was still busy consolidating his own hold over the Soviet Empire. As long as he perceived no threat or financial disadvantage, I doubt he cared who won the election. He was from Gruzin ("Georgia" ) and had other things on his mind. Don't forget, Hitler didn't become Reichskanzler until the next year.
