Being criticized is part of the job of being a SCOTUS Justice or federal judge. I can't imagine any circumstances in which a president could say anything that would cause Roberts or any other federal judge to resign and I doubt you can imagine any either.

As for Republicans "hectoring progressive Judges out of office," can you cite some examples? If that could be done, how is it that Ruth Ginsburg is still on the Court?

Reality sucks, but it is has one advantage over fantasy. It's real.
