They watch Fox News or listen to right wing radio, where the press conference may not be carried live or if it is, it is spun heavily to show him in the best possible light. Fox and right wing outlets have so poisoned the well, that they think when Trump looks bad (Like normally in every situation) that he is being distorted by the "liberal media". They have been inoculated from facts and evidence.

I have said many times that Trump does not appear to have a grasp on "typical human behavior" It is almost like an alien that has come to earth and is trying to approximate behavior.
