Coxsackieviruses are among them. None of this is new.

If your kid ever experienced an outbreak of "hand, foot and mouth disease" in school or daycare--a condition that causes rashes on the extremities thus earning the name, this is a result of seasonal enterovirus spread--specifically one of several coxsackieviruses. Highly infectious, but self-limiting in this case.
