Fortunately, I record her show so I skip forward through a lot of that very, very long first segment - almost 30 minutes to tell a five minute story. She still does have some excellent stories, but for the most part a whole hour of her has become too much for me.
I still watch O'Donnell as I like his commentaries and his style is much more laid back and watchable. I've been surprised that lately the show I like best in the evening is Brian Williams. He is very polished and professional, rarely ever cuts off a guest, and maintains a certain rhythm that only a real pro can pull off. He throws in a bit of humor here and there, but does it in such a way that it does not come across as inappropriate or out of place. Often a dry wit that he throws in without missing a beat. I agree, he did get a bad rap. He is still the most professional newscaster that MSNBC has.
